Beijing Olympics Games 2008 Competitions

2008 Beijing Summer Games Competitions are scheduled to be held from 8th to 24th August, 2008. The official name for this Summer Games is Games of the XXIX Olympiad. The event will be inaugurated by the honorable President of China at the Beijing National Stadium.

There will be competitions for 302 events in the Beijing Summer Olympics. A total of 28 sports are involved in the Olympics. The various competitions of the Beijing Summer Games of 2008 are going to take place at different venues and stadiums of the city of Beijing.

BMX which is a new cycling competition will take place at the Summer Games, 2008. There will be categories for both men and women. Swimming will also have a new category known as Marathon swimming for both men and women.
